Better teat condition through Natural Milking
Curing hyperkeratosis can have a big positive influence on udder health. The teat offers natural protection against pathogens such as bacteria from outside. If this natural defence is in better condition, mastitis can be prevented more easily.
Common advantages:
- Natural massage effect
- Easier milk release
- Faster milking time
- Improved teat ends
AktivPULS Proven results
"I really wanted to save this, because the teat end is essentially the gateway for bacteria"
If she likes it, she’ll show it!
On 12 robotic farms, multiple tests were carried out. The behaviour of the cows showed that the milking process became more comfortable, which was reflected in an increase in the number of voluntary visits.
The cows showed the effect themselves by visiting the robot more frequently.
- When cows come more often, it has a positive impact on milk-out efficiency and overall milk production.
- Better milk-out also contributes to improved udder health
- Healthier teat ends, supporting long-term herd performance.
The testing period covered more than 100 days, including both short and long measurement intervals, with an average duration of 54 days. The 12 robotic farms involved were located across the Netherlands and represented different herd sizes, breeds, management approaches and grazing strategies.
From the results we see a clear differentiation in outcomes across the farms:
• Six farms demonstrated an increase in milking visits.
• Two farms showed a decrease, which could be related to grazing strategies.
• Four farms maintained the same number of milkings per cow per day.
"Our milking speed has increased from 2.6 tot 3.1 with less teat-end hyperkeratosis and lower cell count"
Started this spring with the AktivPULS teat liner. Our milking speed has increased from 2.6 to 3.1. Additional advantages are quieter milking and less teat-end hyperkeratosis, resulting in less mastitis and a lower somatic cell count.

"When drying off you actually have to search for the teat openings"
Satisfied user of AktivPULS for 3 years. Teat ends clearly healthier, when drying off you actually have to look for the teat canals! Milking speed clearly higher.

These nipple liners brought me two things. One is an improvement in those teat ends. With dry-off it's searching for the teat holes. But also importantly, a very big piece of improvement in milk speed. I found changing liner quite exciting. After all, I went from rubber to silicone. But the somatic cell count results, they went down from 170 to 63. I am very happy with that. What I am also very pleased with is the interval of changing. With rubber, I was at 2,500. Now it is every 10,000. That still saves a lot of work. After 2.5 years of milking with AktivPULS, I will definitely not go back to another type of liner.
De Bladelse Hoef
"80% less hyperkeratosis and 20% less mastitis"
In August, we started milking with AktivPuls. During the trial period, we only changed the liners. Before the trial, practically 80% of our cows showed signs of teat-end hyperkeratosis, 20% of which was of the 4th degree. Currently, there are no cases of hyperkeratosis in the entire herd. Previously, we had 40 to 50 cows showing signs of clinical mastitis, but now we have a maximum of 10. Subclinical mastitis has decreased from 20-25% to 3-4%.
